1. Conduct Test Tone
The first thing to try when you aren’t getting any sound from your Yamaha receiver is to use your device’s test tone function.
The option to turn on the test tone function can appear in different ways based on the model of the Yamaha receiver you’re using.
Poke around the menu option to find the test tone or refer to your model’s user manual to get to that function. Once the test begins, a little icon will flash on the display to indicate which speaker is being tested.
